FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
Is This River Suitable for Beginners?
Yes, absolutely! This trip is beginner-friendly and perfect even if it’s your first time trying white water rafting. You’ll be guided by experienced river guides from start to finish. We’ll teach you all the basics before the ride starts, so you’ll know exactly what to do. Many first-timers have joined and had a blast – some even come back for more!
What is The Best Choice of Clothes to Wear?
Wear quick-drying clothes that you don’t mind getting wet. It’s best to cover your arms and legs – not just for safety, but also to protect your skin from the strong sun. Avoid jeans or anything heavy. Sportswear or long-sleeve swim tops work really well. Oh, and don’t forget to bring a change of clothes for after the trip!
What If I Wear Glasses?
If you can see well enough without your glasses, it’s better to take them off during the trip. But if you really need them to see, make sure to use a strap to secure them. The rapids can get bumpy, and you don’t want your glasses to fly off into the river. Straps are cheap and easy to find online or at sports shops. Safety first – for both you and your specs!
Do You Have Locker Facilities?
Nope, we don’t have lockers at the rafting site. The best way is to keep your personal items safely in your car. Don’t bring valuables with you if you can avoid it. Phones, wallets, and other important stuff are best left behind or locked in your vehicle. We want you to enjoy the trip without worrying about your things.
How Many People Can Fit into a Raft?
Our rafts can fit 5 participants and 2 river guides. If your group is lesser than 5 people, then you will share a raft with our other participants to make a team of 5 people.
Can I Come Using E-hailing or Grab to the Location?
This is not recommened as it is very difficult to book one for your return trip and you may be stranded at these remote location. Furthermore, you will need the transportation on hand to be able to take you to Slim River just in case of dam closure at Kuala Kubu Bharu. The best is to come on self drive basis or to have a hired car and driver.
What Happens in the Event of Dam Closure on the Trip Day?
If this happens, we will shift the rafting trip to Slim River (Location: Kampung Ulu Slim) on the same day. This location is a 50 minute drive from Kuala Kubu Bharu. You will need to have your own transportation to take you there.
Finally, What If It Rains?
We’ll still go rafting, even if it rains! The river here is controlled by a dam upstream, so there’s no sudden water surge even during rain. Light rain actually makes the adventure feel even more exciting! But of course, your safety is always our top priority. If our river guide decides it’s not safe, we’ll follow their call – they know the river best.
