FAQs | FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where is Sungai Selangor located?
The staging point for Sungai Selangor white water rafting is located about 10 minutes away from the quaint little town of Kuala Kubu Bharu (popularly known as KKB).
This town is about 70km away from Kuala Lumpur and will take about an hour to reach by car. Colonial shophouses still make up most of KKB’s architectural landscape, spanning from the 1920s to the 1980s. The town is hardly what you call hectic, but there is a fair amount of activity that goes on.
The great thing about Sungai Selangor is that not only is it a higher grade rafting river but very close to the city.
The whole program can be completed in a day and you would be back into the city by late afternoon.
This fast-paced “creek run” river is a fantastic 7km journey through one of the most scenic areas available with rain forests and even waterfalls. So, do plan to come white-water rafting with us especially if you are game for some outdoor adventure with plenty of water to boot. It will truly be a day filled with adventure, fun and excitement.
What should I wear rafting?
T-shirts and shorts are fine. Wear something like what you wear to the beach and you should be okay. Remember that you are going to get soaking wet. Quick dry clothes are recommended. Make sure you bring a towel and a set of dry clothes to change into after your rafting adventure. Apply some sunscreen before you go rafting if you don’t like to get a tan or you burn easily under the sun.
You will need to wear secure footwear which will not come off your foot while rafting such as canvas shoes, aqua booties or velcro strapped sandals.
Can I drive my car to the Kuala Kubu Bharu?
You can choose to drive to Kuala Kubu Bharu instead of using our hired cars.
It is easy to navigate to the location using Waze or Google Maps.
Just key in “POS MALAYSIA KUALA KUBU BHARU” for directions.
All we ask is that you arrive at the meet up location on time as any delay will require other rafters who have arrived on time to wait for you.
You will follow behind our vehicle to the starting point to unload your passengers and then we will take you to the end point to park your cars and bring you back to the starting point.
How Safe Is White Water Rafting?
Like any adventure activity rafting carries with it inherent risks, both from being in a river environment and from pre-existing medical conditions you may have.
All participants must wear the supplied life jackets and helmets, and you must wear secure footwear.
You will not be permitted to raft if we detect you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol (no refund applies).
