It’s quite time consuming to digest all the information available especially when you just want to make a quick booking and get on the adventure.

What I plan to do is to give you as much information about Slim River.
This is a fantastic white water rafting river quite close to most major cities in the country.
You can drive right up to the meeting point if you wanted to.
And also…
With the information I have put here, I will explain to you also how easy it is to make your booking.
What’s great about this river?
Well, if you love tackling rapids one after the other and want a technical river course, then this is the perfect river for you.
Imagine just a quick drive out of town and you are in a tropical jungle setting. Orchards, small towns, villages and meandering road will take you to Kampung Ulu Slim – the staging point of your adventure.
In terms of distance Kampung Ulu Slim is:
- 30 minutes drive from Tanjong Malim and Proton City
- 1 hour 30 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur or Ipoh
- 2 hours drive from Putrajaya, Cyberjaya or KLIA
What you need to know is..
This is an exciting river to conquer and is suited not only for beginners but also seasoned rafters.
And white water rafting on Slim River is available year round!
HERE’S WHAT HAPPENS ON A TYPICAL RAFTING DAY (WITH TRANSPORT INCLUDED)
If you are booking a trip with us and you have requested for transportation to be included, this is how your itinerary will look like:
0745HRS Pick-up from Kuala Lumpur by your Adventure Host and proceed to Slim River which is a 1 hour 30 minute drive from Kuala Lumpur.
0915HRS Arrive Kampung Ulu Slim. Proceed to the Put-In Point at Kuala Tibang on an off-road journey by 4WD. It will be a 40-minute travel there (depending on track condition).
0950HRS Allocation of all rafting equipments (Helmet/PFD/Paddles), followed by a detailed briefing on safety and procedures of white water rafting. Rafters will be divided into groups with a maximum of 6 persons per raft.
1030HRS The adventure begins! The run will take about 2.5 hours – 3 hours depending on group size and water volume.
1300HRS (Approx) Arrival at the “Take Out” point at Kampung Pos Berseh. From here rafters will be transferred back by 4WD to our basecamp at Kampung Ulu Slim (a 10 minute journey). Shower and change at the basecamp.
1400HRS Depart for Kuala Lumpur. Lunch stop enroute to Kuala Lumpur or at basecamp – this will depend on group size.
You will normally arrive back at around 15:30hrs.
HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR DAY
- You will be entering a pristine jungle setting – no maddening crowds. Just the people in the village going about their daily routine.
- The basecamp is located next to a hotspring. The water is very hot: 104℃! You can pay a visit to the site – it’s free.
- You will need to ride a pick-up to the put-in point. This is also part of the adventure.
- You will be passing some Orang Asli villages along the route.
- When it is safe, your guides will show you how to body surf through some safe parts of the river
- There are strong hydraulics on this river that can toss your raft as though you were in a spin cycle of a washing machine.
- There’s plenty of opportunity to make new friends on the trip
- A delicious local lunch will be waiting for you at the end of the trip
PRICES (VALID FROM SEPTEMBER 2022 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)
Here is our price list. If you need transportation to be arranged for your trip, just add on the price of the vehicle. For those who will be driving to the location, you just need to pay the white water rafting package only.
HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR TRIP
Let’s say if you wanted to include transportation into your white water rafting program..
To know your total charges just add the number of people you are booking for and the price of the transportation.
For example..
If you are booking for 5 person:
Rafting RM190 x 5 person = RM950 + MPV Transport RM420
Total for 5 pax is RM1370 (That will average out to RM274.00 per person)

[3] Ulu Slim to Put-in Point – 20 min by 4WD / transport provided
[4] Safety briefing will be conducted prior to rafting
[5] Rafting will take between 2 – 2.5 hours
[6] Rafting will be on a 7km stretch of the river – over 20 rapids and numerous channels
[7] 2 river guides to a raft
[8] 5-6 rafters to a raft
[9] Best to come already in your rafting attire – eg. t-shirt & shorts
[10] Natural flowing river – no DAM to regulate river flow

TAKE NOTE OF THESE TOO
[1] Meet us at the Tun Sambanthan Monorail Station at 7.45am sharp on the day of rafting. From there we will proceed to Kampung Ulu Slim.
[2] Who can raft: 12-60 years of age in good physical health & can walk unassisted.
[3] We welcome non-swimmers and first-timers.
[4] Bring along a change of clothes, towel, soap, shampoo & plastic bag for your wet clothes.
[5] All rafters must wear river sandals, shoes or booties – strictly no slippers or barefeet.
[6] Spectacles must be secured.
[7] No denim or jeans on the river.
[8] Remove all jewelleries and expensive watches.
[9] We recommend you bring waterproof or underwater cameras if you want to take photos
