Perception Sport Pescador 12 Angler Kayak. Is this kayak suited for you?
What can I say..this kayak is by far the best deal on a high end kayak out there today. It’s one of the few kayaks that has a selling price which lets starters and those who are budget concious get into the sport. At the same time this kayak is a high quality one. And also it is one that you don’t really need to upgrade for quite some time. I have been told by a friend that this kayak is actually the award winning 2007 wilderness systems tarpon, tagged with the Perception brand …so don’t hesitate to buy this great yak and save money too.
This Perception Sport Pescador has a nice seating well. The seat is very comfortable as I have already fished and kayaked for over 6 hours numerous times on it. Get it, get on the water and go have some fun!
The Perception Sport Pescador is a stable and easy to paddle sit-on-top kayak. It comes fully rigged with fishing features needed to hit the water right away. Anglers would love the versatile hull design that’s good for tracking on lakes but also maneuvers easily on rivers. What I can see is that the extra large cockpit opening provides plenty of room to work with your tackle and offers easy entry and exit.
Fishing from it is very nice with a rod holder in the front a rod holder in the rear and a very nice drink holder. I have now mounted a fish finder/gps and I can’t wait to try it out in the water.
Dry storage compartment stays dry and lids stay nice and tight.
I don’t know if it has been pointed out yet, but this is also the only kayak I could find near it’s price that has accommodations for an after market rudder kit. I recently purchased another kayak with a rudder and find it very useful for my needs so glad it is an option with the Pescador.
There are a lot of attachment points, for which I have not come up with a good use yet, but I’m sure I will. Kayak tracks well when you get the paddling technique down, and moves quickly through the water.
I hope you all can have the opportunity to purchase this great yak as word has it that it will be taken off the market to satisfy kayak specialty stores who have been upset for loosing sales of there much more expensive Tarpon 120’s they are trying to sell because of the Pescadore.
